Earl of Sieforth: Lord Bellinden: and the Late Arch Bishop of Glasgow allowed open prison

The Lords of there Majestyes privie Councill doe hereby recomend to the Earle of Leven governor of the Castle of Edinburgh And In his absence Grants order and warrand to the Inferior officers in the said castle of Edinburgh To allow the Earle of Sieforth The Lord Bellinden and the Late Arch Bishop of Glasgow who are presently closs prisoners in the said Castle the benefite of open prisone The said Earle and Inferior officers forsaids being alwayes Lyable for the safe Custodie of the said prisoners

Earl of Seaforth, Lord Bellenden, and the late Archbishop of Glasgow allowed open prison

The lords of their majesties’ privy council hereby recommend to the earl of Leven, governor of the Castle of Edinburgh and in his absence grants order and warrant to the inferior officers in the said Castle of Edinburgh, to allow [Kenneth MacKenzie] the earl of Seaforth, [John] Lord Bellenden and [John Paterson] the late archbishop of Glasgow who are presently close prisoners in the said castle the benefit of open prison, the said earl and inferior officers foresaid being always liable for the safe custody of the said prisoners.
