Restraint againest prisoners in Edinburgh and Canongate

The Lords of there Majestyes privie Counsell Doe hereby discharge the Magistrats of Edinburgh Bailzies of the Canongate and keepers of there tolboothes To suffer any persones who are prisoners therein be order of Counsell to goe furth without the doors of the saids prisones untill the Counsells furder order Notwithstanding of any former warrand of Counsell for allowing these persones to goe abroad for tuo houres or some certain space each day

Restraint against prisoners in Edinburgh and Canongate

The lords of their majesties’ privy council do hereby discharge the magistrates of Edinburgh, bailies of the Canongate, and keepers of their tolbooths to suffer any persons who are prisoners therein by order of council to go forth without the doors of the said prisons until the council’s further order, notwithstanding of any former warrant of council for allowing these persons to go abroad for two hours or some certain space each day.
