Order

Order for thretty men to quarter for deficiencie

The Lords of there Majestyes privie Councill doe hereby give order for a pairty of thretty men with one to Comand them to quarter for the deficiencie of Cess and excyse on severall shyres in the North And that In regaird the generall receavers can have no pairtyes of the forces at this tyme to quarter for what is owing And for which thretty men and Comander No allowance is to be demanded but what the Law allowes for quartering Except the soume of Ten pound Sterling for defraying the necessarie expenses and charges of there goeing from this to Aberdeen And recomends to the Lords Comissioners of there Majesties theasurie to cause payment be made to the generall receavers of the said soume for the end forsaid The Generall receavers being alwayes ansuerable for the good deportment of the said thretty men and there Comanders or officers

Order for thirty men to quarter for deficiency

The lords of their majesties’ privy council hereby give order for a party of 30 men with one to command them to quarter for the deficiency of cess and excise on several shires in the North, and that because the general receivers can have no parties of the forces at this time to quarter for what is owing, and for which 30 men and commander no allowance is to be demanded but what the law allows for quartering, except the sum of £10 sterling for defraying the necessary expenses and charges of their going from here to Aberdeen, and they recommend to the lords commissioners of their majesties’ treasury to have payment made to the general receivers of the said sum for the end foresaid, the generall receivers being always answerable for the good deportment of the said 30 men and their commanders or officers.
