Order To the Sollicitor to process Doctor Mcghie and his brother

The Lords of there majestyes privie Councill doe hereby give order and warrand to the sollicitor to raise a Lybell befor the Councill Againest Doctor […] Mcghie and Joseph Mcghie his brother as guilty of, or accessorie to the the2 provydeing of fyles, aqua fortis and sublimat for Naval Pains makeing his escape out of the Castle of Edinburgh By breaking the Irons of the windows and as being on of the authors and Contryvers of the said designe And that upon the evidences already given and such farther evidence as he Can reatch in the said matter

Order to the solicitor to process Doctor McGhie and his brother

The lords of their majesties’ privy council hereby give order and warrant to the solicitor to raise a libel before the council against Doctor […] McGhie and Joseph McGhie his brother as guilty of, or accessory to providing files, nitric acid and mercury(II) chloride for [Henry] Neville Pain’s making his escape out of the Castle of Edinburgh by breaking the irons of the windows, and as being one of the authors and contrivers of the said plan and that on the evidence already given and such further evidence as he can obtain in the said matter.
