Recomendation to the Sollicitor anent the Captain of Clanronald

The Lords of there majesties privie Councill doe hereby recomend to the Sollicitor to advyse with his assistants what course will be most fitt to be followed againest the Captain of Clanronald againest whom The King by his Letter hes appointed the saids Lords to execute the Law in its full extent And to whom there is a signator of remissione but not past the sealls And he in the mean tyme is gone to France.

The lords of their majesties’ privy council do hereby recommend to the solicitor to advise with his assistants what course will be most fit to be followed against [Allan MacDonald] the captain of Clanranald, against whom the king by his letter has appointed the said lords to execute the law in its full extent, and to whom there is a signature of remission but not past the seals, and he in the meantime has gone to France.
