Order

Recomendation to my Lord Chancellor for seizing suspect persones

The Lords of there Majestyes privie Councill Considering that dureing the present exigence of affaires there may be a necessitie suddenly to seize upon particular persones horses or armes when they cannot alwayes meet in Councill for granting particular warrands for that effect Therefore the saids Lords doe hereby recomend to and authorize the Lord High Chancellour to Cause seize upon and apprehend any persones he shall have suspicion of or the horses and armes of such persones as his Lordships shall think fitt and Cause detain the saids persones prisoners untill examined befor the Councill And for the More readie discharge hereof That his Lordship grant all warrands or orders necessarie to any Magistrates or officers of there Majestyes forces Sic Subscribitur Douglas Linlithgow Lothian Leven Stair Cardross William Master of Forbes Patrick Murray
