Navill Pain allowed open prisone

The Lords of there Majestyes privie Councill doe hereby recomend to the Earle of Linlithgow governour of the Castle of Blackness And in his absence Gives order and warrand to the deputie Governour thereof to allow to Henrie Navall Pain prisone[r] in the said castle the benefite of open prisone The officers and souldiers in the said Castle being alwayes ansuerable for his safe custodie

Neville Paine allowed in open prison

The lords of their majesties’ privy council do hereby recommend to [George Livingstone] earl of Linlithgow, governor of the Castle of Blackness, and in his absence gives order and warrant to the deputy governor thereof, to allow to Henry Neville Paine, prisoner in the said castle, the benefit of open prison, the officers and soldiers in the said castle being always answerable for his safe custody.
