Order

Order to the Collectors of Supplie and Committee anent heretors of midlothian

The Lords of there majestyes privie Councill do hereby recomend to and appoint the Collector of supply in the shyre of mid Louthian to send in to the sollicitor ane subscryved List of the heretors within that shyre of above tuo Hundreth pound of valued rent And appoints the sollicitor to cause Cite such of them as have not taken the oath of alleadgeance or subscryved the Engadgement To Compear befor the Councill upon the Sixteint of Junij instant And grants warrand to macers or messengers for that effect And Recomends to the Earles of Linlithgow and Louthian, Viscount of Tarbatt Lord Belhaven, Lairds of Blackbarrony and Steivinstoun and Sir Patrick Murray to meet upon tuesday at ten of the Cloack in the forenoon upon advertisement from a macer And to administrate the oath of alleadgeance and Engadgement appointed by the Late proclamatione of Councill to such of the persones as are to be Cited who shall apply apply to them for the same And declares any three of the forsaid Comittee to be a quorum

Order to the collectors of supply and committee concerning heritors of Midlothian

The lords of their majesties privy council do hereby recommend to and appoint the collector of supply in the shire of Midlothian to send in to the solicitor a subscribed list of the heritors within that shire of above £200 of valued rent, and they appoint the solicitor to cause cite such of them as have not taken the oath of allegiance or subscribed the engagement to appear before the council upon 16 June instant, and they grant warrant to macers or messengers for that effect, and recommends to the earls of Linlithgow and Lothian, Viscount of Tarbat, Lord Belhaven, lairds of Blackbarony and Stevenson and Sir Patrick Murray to meet upon Tuesday at 10 am upon advertisement from a macer, and to administer the oath of allegiance and engagement appointed by the late proclamation of council to such of the persons as are to be cited who shall apply apply to them for the same, and any three of the foresaid committee to be a quorum.
