Major Ker and Captain Lyndsay discharged to goe from this place

The Lords of there Majestyes privie Councill Considering that this Kingdome in the present state of affairs may stand in nead of qualifyed persones to be officers to Comand amongst them And that […] Ker of Kersland major of the Lord Angus regiment And Captain […] Lyndsay one of the Captains of the said regiment are presently upon the place Doe therefore hereby requyre and Comand the said major and Captain to Continow at this place And discharges them to remove from the same without the Councills warrand And recomends to the Lord High Chancellour when he wreitts to the Kings Majesty to wreitt for afore Loos to the said Captain

The lords of their majesties’ privy council, considering that this kingdom in the present state of affairs may stand in need of qualified persons to be officers to command amongst them, and that [Daniel] Ker of Kersland, major of the earl of Angus’s regiment, and Captain […] Lyndsay one of the captains of the said regiment are presently upon the place, therefore hereby require and command the said major and captain to continue at this place, and they discharge them to remove from the same without the council’s warrant, and they recommend to the lord high chancellor when he writes to the king’s majesty to write for a furlough to the said captain.
