Anent a Petition given in to the Lords of their majesties privy Councill be William McCaw late tennent in Trochhein Shewing That in September Jaj vjc Eightie four The poor petitioner was by was by2 Mr Alexander Stivensone writter to the Signet Spoylzied of his haill goods and geir without any title or order of Law, but meer malice against the said poor man and he ever since haveing oft and diverse tymes petitioned the Lords of Councill and sessione for ane grattis warrant at the leanth obtained the same subscrybed be the Lord President and two advocats in Jully Jaj vjc nyntie one and the poor petitioner haveing therafter presented a bill before the saids Lords to the Solicitors man to be signed be him he refused and still had delayed the petitioner this long tyme in this toune in a most miserable and sterveing conditione notwithstanding the some is most relevant as the bill itself heirwith produced would instruct And Therfore humbly suplicating to the effect aftermentioned The Lords of their Majesties Privy Councill Haveing Considered this petitione given in to them Be the above William McCaw They appoynt their Majesties solicitor or his servant to signe the above bill at the petitioners instance gratis.
