Committee anent broken men in braes of Perthshyre

The Lords of there Majestyes privie Counsell doe hereby Recomend to the Lords Ruthven and Sir Coline Campbell of Aberuchill one of the senators of the Colledge of Justice to speak with Sir James Leslie Collonell anent the broken ane Louse men who are resorting upon and about the braes in Perth shyre And to Consider with the said Sir James what Courses are presently to be followed for the effectuall and speedie suppressing of these broken and Loose men and for preventing the dangers that may aryse for there being together and secureing the place of these places where they Resort And Recomends to the saids Lords Ruthven and Sir Coline Campbell to make there report to the Counsell

Committee concerning broken men in the braes of Perthshire

The lords of their majesties’ privy council hereby recommend to [David] Lord Ruthven and Sir Colin Campbell of Aberuchil one of the senators of the college of justice to speak with Colonel Sir James Leslie concerning the broken and loose men who are resorting upon and about the braes in Perthshire, and to consider with the said Sir James what courses are presently to be followed for the effectual and speedy suppressing of these broken and loose men and for preventing the dangers that may arise for their being together and securing the peace of the places where they resort, and recommend to the said Lord Ruthven and Sir Coline Campbell to make their report to the council.
