Comittee anent Griersone of Lagg

The Lords of there Majestyes privie Councill doe hereby recomend to his Grace the Duke of Queensberry the Lord Cardross and Sir Robert Sinclair of Stevinstoun or any tuo of them to call for Sir Robert Greirsone of Lagg who wes committed prisoner by a Comittee of Councill this day For refuseing to give his parroll of honour not to ryse in armes againest there Majestyes government nor forces And again to make offer to the said Sir Robert of the said parroll And upon his signeing thereof gives power to the said Comittee or there quorum to give order and warrand to the magistrats of Edinburgh and keper of there tolbooth to sett the said Sir Robert who is presently prisoner therein at Liberty furth thereoff

Committee concerning Grierson of Lagg

The lords of their majesties’ privy council do hereby recommend to his grace the duke of Queensberry, the Lord Cardross and Sir Robert Sinclair of Stevenson or any two of them to call for Sir Robert Grierson of Lagg who was committed prisoner by a committee of council today for refusing to give his parole of honour not to rise in arms against their majesties’ government or forces, and again to make offer to the said Sir Robert of the said parole and upon his signing thereof they give power to the said committee or their quorum to give order and warrant to the magistrates of Edinburgh and keeper of their tolbooth to set the said Sir Robert who is presently prisoner therein at liberty furth thereof.
