The Councill Haveing Considered a Letter direct from the Viscount of Oxenfoord to Sir Thomas Livingstoun Comander in cheiff etc Excuseing the Viscount who wes Cited by a macer of Councill to Compear this day befor the Comittee of Councill appoynted for offering the parroll of honour to severall persones not to ryse in armes againest there majestyes government nor forces and promiseing to attend the Councill the morrow The Councill admitts of the Viscounts excuse for this day provydeing he appear the morrow before the2 said Comittee

Excuse for Viscount Oxenford

The council, having considered a letter directed from the Viscount of Oxenford to Sir Thomas Livingston, commander in chief etc excusing the Viscount who was cited by a macer of council to appear today before the committee of council appointed for offering the parole of honour to several persons not to rise in arms against their majesties’ government or forces and promising to attend the council tomorrow, the council admits of the Viscount’s excuse for today, providing he appears tomorrow before the said committee.
