Procedure

Reference to the Comittee anent offering parrolls of honour to Captain Crightoun and others

The Lords of there majestyes privie Councill doe hereby Recomend to the Comittee formerly appointed for offering the parroll of honour to severall persones to Cause the persones following give there parrolls not to ryse in armes againest there majestyes government nor forces viz Captain John Crightoun Captain John Straittoun Coline Bell Captain James Murray Major James Wood, Captain John Ramsay Captain John Bell Captain James Maitland and Captain Robert Dobie And gives power to the Comittee to cause Comitt to prisone such of the forenamed persones as shall refuse to signe the said parroll there to remaine dureing the Councills pleasure And Lykewayes to cause the haill forenamed persones and there Cautioners renew ther former bonds granted to the Councill and upon receiving the new bonds gives warrand to the Clerks of Councill to give up the old ones

Procedure

Reference to the committee for offering paroles of honour to Captain Crichton and others

The lords of their majesties’ privy council hereby recommend to the committee formerly appointed for offering the parole of honour to several persons to cause the persons following to give their paroles not to rise in arms against their majesties’ government or forces, viz: Captain John Crichton, Captain John Straiton, Colin Bell, Captain James Murray, Major James Wood, Captain John Ramsay, Captain John Bell, Captain James Maitland, and Captain Robert Dobie, and they give power to the committee to cause commit to prison such of the forenamed persons as shall refuse to sign the said parole, there to remain during the council’s pleasure; and likewise to cause all the forenamed persons and their cautioners renew their former bonds granted to the council and upon receiving the new bonds they give warrant to the clerks of council to give up the old ones.
