Earl of Drumlanrig received a Counsellour

The Earle of Drumlanrig who by there Majesties Late Comission daitted the third day of March last is Nominate one of there majestyes privie Councill being present did swear and signe the oath of alleadgeance and signed the assureance to there majestyes appointed by act of parliament And the Lord High Chancellour haveing administered to him the oath de fideli The said Earle took his place at the boord accordingly

The earl of Drumlanrig received as a Counsellour

[James Douglas], earl of Drumlanrig, who by their Majesties’ recent commission dated 3 March last is nominated as one of their majesties’ privy council, being present, swore and signed the oath of allegiance and signed the assurance to their majesties appointed by act of parliament and the lord high chancellor having administered to him the oath de fideli, the said earl took his place at the board accordingly.
