Comittee anent Doctor oliphant and David Robertsone

Wpon Informatione that David Robertsone ventner in Edinburgh and Doctor Charles Oliphant sone to Charles Oliphant of Langtoun did within these few dayes in a publict company drink the late King James his health and were urgent with others to drink the same Tuo macers of Councill were Imediatly ordered to search for these persones and Committ them prisoners till further of Councill And Recomends to the Lords Fountainhall and Enstruther to Examine them and to report to the Councill.

Committee concerning Doctor Oliphant and David Robertson

Upon information that David Robertson, vintner in Edinburgh, and Doctor Charles Oliphant, son to Charles Oliphant of Langton, within these few days in a public company, drank the late King James’s health and were urgent with others to drink the same, two macers of council were immediately ordered to search for those persons and commit them prisoners till further [order] of council, and they recommend to the Lords Fountainhall and Anstruther to examine them and to report to the council.
