Duke Queensberry receaved a Counsellour

The Duke of Queensberrie who by the Late Commission off Councill is by there Majestyes Nominate to be one of there privie Councill being present did swear and signe the oath of alleadgeance to there Majestyes King William and Queen Mary and signed the assureance appointed be act of parliament to there saids majesties and then took his place at the boord as a privie Counsellour The Lord Chancellour haveing administrat to his Grace the oath de fideli

Procedure

The duke Queensberry received as a councillor

[William Douglas], duke of Queensberry, who by the recent commission of council is nominated by their majesties to be one of their privy council, being present swore and signed the oath of allegiance to their majesties King William and Queen Mary and signed the assurance appointed by act of parliament to their said majesties and then took his place at the board as a privy councillor, the lord chancellor having administered to his grace the oath de fideli.
