Officers of heretors and fencible men in Renfrew shyre

A Letter from the Commissioners of Supplie in the shyre of Renfrew Recomending the Cheiff officers of the heretors and Collonells and Leivetennent Collonells of the Fenciblemen in the said shyre of Renfrew as named in the said Letter bearing dait the tuenty Eight of Maij instant read And approves the persones named In the Letter to bear Comand as followes viz William Lord Ross to be Collonell of the Fenciblemen Archibald Stewart of Blackhall younger to Comand the heretors And authorizes and appoints the saids Commissioners to make Choise of William Muir of Glanderstoun and John Caldwell of that ilk any one of them to be Leivetennent Colonell of the Fenciblemen and the other to Comand the heretors under Blackhall as the Comissioners shall think fitt And Recomends to the Lord High Chancellour to wreitt a Letter to the Comissioners Signifyeing what the Councill hes done in this matter.

Officers of heritors and fencible men in Renfrewshire

A letter from the commissioners of supply in the shire of Renfrew recommending the chief officers of the heritors and colonels and lieutenant colonels of the fencible men in the said shire of Renfrew as named in the said letter bearing the date 28 May instant was read, and they approve the persons named in the letter to bear command as follows, viz: William Lord Ross to be colonel of the fencible men; Archibald Stewart of Blackhall younger to command the heritors; and they authorise and appoint the said commissioners to choose William Muir of Glanderston and John Caldwell of that ilk, one of them to be lieutenant colonel of the fencible men and the other to command the heritors under Blackhall as the commissioners shall think fit; and they recommend to the lord high chancellor to write a letter to the commissioners signifying what the council has done in this matter.
