Procedure

The Earle of Breadalbain and Sir Thomas Livingstoun receaved counsellours

The Earle of Breadalbaine who by the Late Commission of Councill dated the third day of march last is Nominate one of the Lords of there Majestyes privie Councill being present did swear and signe the oath of alleadgeance to there majestyes King William and Queen Mary and signed the assureance appointed be act of parliament. And Sir Thomas Livingstoun Comander in cheif etc who is Lykewayes by the above Commissione Nominate Nominate2 one of there majesties privie Councill Did also swear and signe as said is And the Lord Chancellor haveing administered the oath de fideli both to the Earle and Sir Thomas They took there places at the boord as privie Counsellours

Procedure

The earl of Breadalbane and Sir Thomas Livingston received as councillors

[John Campbell[, earl of Breadalbane, who by the recent commission of council dated 3 March last is nominated as one of lords of their majesties’ privy council, being present, swore and signed the oath of allegiance to their majesties King William and Queen Mary and signed the assurance appointed by act of parliament. And Sir Thomas Livingston, commander in chief etc, who is likewise by the above commission nominated as one of their majesties’ privy council, also swore and signed as stated, and the lord chancellor, having administered the oath de fideli, both to the earl and Sir Thomas, they took there places at the board as privy councillors.
