Petition the Magistrates and toun Councill of Glasgow for themselves and there Inhabitants offering to make up besydes ther fenciblemen a regiment of foot and to mantane them dureing the apprehensiones of this Invasione to March where the Councill pleases upon the termes Craved in the petitione read and remitted to the Earles of Linlithgow and Louthian the Viscount of Stair Lord Raith theasurer deput The Lords Cardross and Polwarth to Consider how the particulars craved in the petitione may be granted And in regaird the Councill are sitting late appointed them to meet to morrow at ten of the clok in the forenoon to receave in the report from this Comittee and Consider how the desyre of the petitione may be satisfyed And in the mean tyme the persones who presented the petitione by Commission from the toun were Called in and hade thanks from the boord for there Loyall and seasonable offer.

Petition from the magistrates and town council of Glasgow for themselves and their inhabitants offering to make up, besides their fencible men, a regiment of foot and to maintain them during the apprehensions of this invasion to march where the council pleases upon the terms craved in the petition, was read and remitted to the earls of Linlithgow and Lothian, the Viscount of Stair, Lord Raith, treasurer depute, Lords Cardross and Polwarth, to consider how the things craved in the petition may be granted, and in regard that the council are sitting late, appointed them to meet tomorrow at 10 o’clock in the forenoon to receive the report from this committee and consider how the desire of the petition may be satisfied, and in the meantime the persons who presented the petition by commission from the town were called in and had thanks from the board for their loyal and seasonable offer.
