Comittee To speak with George Clerk factor anent provisiones of the forces going to Holland

The Lords of there Majestyes privie Counsell doe hereby Recomend to the Maister of Burghly and the Laird of Grant To Call for George Clerk Factor in Edinburgh to enquyre and take tryall how there Majestyes Forces to be transported from this to Holland are provyded in victualls and otherwayes for the said voyadge and also how the horses belonging to the officers which are Lykewayes to be transported for there Majestyes service in Holland are provyded with corne hay or other necessars and to make there report to the Councill

The lords of their majesties’ privy council hereby recommend to [Robert Balfour] master of Burleigh and [Ludovic Grant] laird of Grant to call for George Clerk, factor in Edinburgh to enquire and take trial how their majesties’ forces to be transported from here to Holland are provided in victuals and otherwise for the said voyage and also how the horses belonging to the officers which are likewise to be transported for their majesties’ service in Holland are provided with corn, hay or other necessities and to make their report to the council.
