Additionall Comittee anent seamen

The Lords of there Majestyes privie Councill doe hereby add the Lord viscount Stair and the Lord Beillhaven to the Comittee formerly appointed anent the2 seamen And Recomends to the said Comittee to Consider the severall Letters written from the severall places of the Countrey anent the said Levy and what seamen are already come to or upon there Journey for Leith to be Imployed for there Majesties service in the fleet Royall and whether these seamen be sufficient or if it be needfull to bring more seamen to Leith And Lykewayes to consider what course is to be followed aither for carryeing on or sisteing off the said Levie as shall be found most necesssar And declares any tuo of the forsaid number to be a quorum and recomends to the said Committee to meet this day at three acloak in the afternoon

The lords of their majesties’ privy council do hereby add [James Dalrymple] Viscount Stair and [John Hamilton] Lord Belhaven to the committee formerly appointed concerning the seamen, and recommend to the said committee to consider the several letters written from the several places of the country concerning the said levy and what seamen are already come to or upon their journey for Leith to be employed for their majesties’ service in the fleet royal, and whether these seamen be sufficient or if it be needful to bring more seamen to Leith, and likewise to consider what course is to be followed either for carrying on or sisting off the said levy as shall be found most necessary, and declare any two of the forsaid number to be a quorum and recommend to the said committee to meet this day at three o’clock in the afternoon.
