Comittie The Solicitor and modorator of the Presbytries of Stirling and Dumblane Against Mr William Lindsay minister

The Lybell Mr Douglas moderator of the unitted Presbytries of Stirling and Dumblaine and the Solicitor Against Mr William Lindsay late incumbent at Alva and others, Called, and the pursuar Compeiring personally with James Stewart advocat, And the defendars (except Patrick Lindsay Robert Galloway and Robert Miller) Comparing with Sir David Thores advocat, The Lybell and answers for Mr Lindsay and answers for Thomas Seatton, Read and the Said Mr Lindsay and the procurators for both parties fully heard, The saids Lords Recommends to the Lord Viscount Stair, Lords Enstruther and Fontonhall, Lairds of Blackbarrony and Stivensone or any thrie of them to conferr with Mr Douglas the moderator persewar and Mr Lindsay defender upon the point in debate as to the vaccancie of the kirk of Alva and to endeavor to Reconcile the partes and to Report; And Finds that part of the Lybell anent the Ryot Relevant and the witnesses present haveing made faith the same Committie and quorum is nominat to examine thir witnesses quhich are appoynted in Mr Kirkwoods Lybell, And Allowes the defenders procurator to fortifie the instrument produced for excuseing Robert Miller by depositiones to be taken be the Committie, And appoynts the Committie to meet the morrow at Eleven in the forenoon
