Committie Doctor Weymes anent the affairs of the Collodge of St Androwes

Anent a Petitione given in to the Lords of ther Majesties privy Councill be Doctor James Weymes late principall of St Leonards Colledge in the university of St Androwes Shewing That the petitioner haveing clearly instructed the debt of one hunred Nyntie five dollers with the intrest therof to be still resting unpayed to him by the university of Saint Androwes from the Jaj vjc sixtie nyne when the same was borrowed by the petitioner at the earnest desyre of the rector and remnant masters of the said university for the tyme and expending in following and prosecuting some Important affairs of the said university Conform to the Commissioners and instructiones given under all their hands produced, And which are still in the Clerks hands And ther being no more proper fond out of quhich the Same may be payed then the remaines of the product and fermes of the new purchased lands with the half moneths cess (granted by parliament) for cropt and year Jaj vjc nyntie and preceiding years which are still in the hands of Androw Clerk Dean of gild of St Androwes Collector constitute and appoynted by the university for uplifting the fermes of the saids lands for these years, And which product and fermes from tyme to tyme ware allenarly Imployed in defraying the publict charges of the said university And in paying the publict debts therof both by appoyntment of the said university and by order of the Lords of Privy Councill and others And Therfore Humbly Craveing the saids Lords to order and appoint payment to be made to the petitioner of the said one hundreth nyntie five Dollers with the intrest therof by the said Androw Clerk as factor constitute for uplifting the said product and fermes for the said years in whose hands the saids remaines for the said cropt and years are, as the petitione bears The Lords of their Majesties privy Councill haveing heard this petitione given in to them be the above Doctor Weymes Read in their presence They allow the masters of the university of St Androwes to see and answer the same And ordaines them to be cited to appear before the Lords or their Committie to answer therto And nominats and appoynts The Lord Raith thesaurer depute, The Lord Fountonhall and the Lairds of Blackbarrony and Leyes to hear both parties upon the said petitione and report to the Councill and Declares any thrie of them to be a quorum And appoints the day of Appearance in the citation to be the twentie day of Jully instant And appoints the same Commitie or their quorum to proceid wher the Comittie formerly appoynted anent the severall affairs of the university of St Androwes)2 Aither as to the half Moneths Cess or other affairs of the said university Last left at And Recomends to them to report their procedure in these affairs to the Councill
