Recommendatione to The Thesaury to provyde a ship and money for the present expedition against the Rebells

The Lords of their Majesties privie Councell Doe heirby Recommend to the Lords Commissioners of their Majesties Thesaury to Cause provyde ane sufficient shipp and well Conditioned fitt for transporting such things as shall be found necessar for ther Majesties service In the present expeditione Against the Highlanders and other Rebells And in case of refuisall of the skipper or ouners of the said shipp To Fraught or if the skipper or his Company [refuse] to saill the said ship Recommends to and authorizes the saids Lords Commissioners to Cause force the same Being for their Majesties speciall service The saids Lords Commissioners being alwayes Lyable and becoming bound For payment of the Fraught of the said shipp at a reasonable rate And Lykewayes Recommends to the saids Commissioners to provyde and have in readines such soumes of money as will be needfull for defraying the Incident charges of their Majesties Forces in this expeditione To be delyvered to Sir Thomas Livingstoune Commander in cheiff of their Majesties forces within this Kingdome or any whom he shall appoynte and that from tyme to tyme as occasione shall requyre and as the samen shall be called for As also Cause payment be made to Captain Fletzer Captaine of the Artillarie Company of such soumes of money as their Lordships shall find necessary For putting of the said Captaine and his Company of artillarie men In a present Condition to march with their Majesties forces in the above expeditione And that all thir things be done with dilligence and dispatch as the present state of their Majesties forces does requyre

Recommendation to the treasury to provide a ship and money for the present expedition against the rebels

The lords of their majesties’ privy council do hereby recommend to the lords commissioners of their majesties’ treasury to cause provide a sufficient ship and well conditioned fit for transporting such things as shall be found necessary for their majesties’ service in the present expedition against the highlanders and other rebels, and in case of refusal of the skipper or owners of the said ship to freight or if the skipper or his company refuse to sail the said ship, recommend to and authorises the said lords commissioners to cause force the same being for their majesties’ special service, the said lords commissioners being always liable and becoming bound for payment of the freight of the said ship at a reasonable rate, and likewise recommend to the said commissioners to provide and have in readiness such sums of money as will be needful for defraying the incident charges of their majesties’ forces in this expedition, to be delivered to Sir Thomas Livingstone, commander in chief of their majesties’ forces within this kingdom, or any whom he shall appoint, and that from time to time as occasion shall require and as the same shall be called for, as also cause payment be made to Captain Fletcher, captain of the artillery company, of such sums of money as their lordships shall find necessary for putting of the said captain and his company of artillery men in a present condition to march with their majesties’ forces in the above expedition, and that all these things be done with diligence and despatch as the present state of their majesties’ forces does require.
