Commission under the Great seall of this Kingdome In favors of Prince George of Denmark To be Generallissimo of her Majesties forces raised and to be raised and of the Militia within this Kingdome Read and ordered to be recorded wherof the tenor followes

Warrant
The Earle of Leven as provost of the Royall burgh of Kirkaldie haveing represented to the Lords of her Majesties privy Councill, That in pursuance of her Majesties proclamation for calling a parliament to meett at Edinburgh the Twelth day of November nixt His Lordship as provest of the said burgh Did appoint a dyet for the Magistrates Councill and Deacons of the said burgh To meett and Choise Some fitt persone for representing the said burgh in the said ensueing parliament, And the Saids Magistrats Councill and Deacons haveing Conveened accordingly, a great number of them contrary to ther duty and good order did rise up goe furth and desert the said meetting and therby a Sufficient quorum not being left the Said Earle and Such as remained with him were disabled to proceed in the Service of the Said burgh They not being a Sufficient quorum for proceeding in the said election of a member of parliament for the said burgh; The Saids Lords of her Majesties privy Councill Haveing Considered the above representation and how much it concernes her Majesties Service and the intrest of the said burgh that the said abuse be remeeded They Recommend to the Earle of Leven provest of the said burgh That he appoint a new dyet for the Meeting of the Saids Magistrats Town Councill and Deacons of Crafts of the said burgh and that he cause requyre such of them as absented themselves or did withdraw formerly To Conveen and be present at the said meetting at the dyet so to be appointed for makeing the said election and doeing the other Service of the said burgh; with Certification to them and each of them who Shall be absent or haveing once attended Shall remove and goe away before the ordinary ryseing of the said Councill that their places Shall be ipso facto vaccant And that the said Earle as provest of the said burgh, with Such of the Magistrats Toun Councell and Deacons of Crafts who Shall remaine and abyde with his Lordship shall proceed as he is Hereby Impowered to proceed to Supply and fill up the vaccant places of those who Shall not attend or doe remove with such able and Sufficient burgesses as they shall think fitt to Nominat which persones are hereby Impowered and authorized to proceed in the said election of a member of parliament for the said burgh and in all the other service therof Competent to them or any of them, sicklyke and in the same in maner as if they hade been orderly Chosen and elected to their respective offices at the ordinary time and in the due maner.

The Lords of her Majesties privy Councill Doe hereby prorogate the time for all the Commissioners of Supply within the Kingdome their qualifieing themselves betwixt and the first day of December nixt to come who have not qualified themselves already Conforme to the last act of the Last Session of parliament And allowes them to exerce and officiat accordingly.

Act appointing Ministers; preachers of the Gospell and others aftermentioned to Swear the Oath of alledgance and subscribe the Same with the assurance conforme to the act of parliament Being Read was voted approven and ordained to be published and recorded, wherof the tenor followes.
The Lords of her Majesties privy Councill takeing to their Consideration; That in the two proclamationes emitted by their Lordships, Since the death of King William of ever Glorious Memory, In pursuance of the act of parliament Jaj vic Nyntie thrie; Entituled act for takeing the oath of alledgance and assurance; Ther is no Speciall provision made As was made in the proclamation Issued out upon the Same act the Threttie of may the said year Jaj vic Nyntie thrie Before whom and betwixt and what day Ministers, preachers of the Gospell and the other persones aftermentioned Ought to Swear the oath of alledgance and Subscribe the Same with the assurance to her Majestie Queen Anne as is now appointed by the act of the Last Session of the Last parliament; Entituled act Recognizeing her Majesties Royall power and authority etc, And that it is fitt that the Same be Supplied; Doe Therfore be vertue and Warrand of the said act of the Last Session of the Last parliament Recognizeing her Majesties Royall power and authority as said is. And the power therby to them Committed; Appoint and ordaine all Ministers preachers of the Gospell; and all Clerks of Church Judicatures and presenters and all masters and Doctors of universities Colleges or Schoolls; and keepers of publict Liberaries and all Chaplains in families and pedagogues and Governors to Childrein or youth; to swear2 the said oath of alledgance and Subscrybe the Same with the assurance to her Majestie before either the Shirriff of the bounds or their deputs wher they Live or the Magistrates of any burgh Royall within the saids bounds or any of the Lords of privy Councill as may be most easie and convenient for them betwixt the first day of December nixt to come; Under the Certificationes allwayes contained in the forsaid act of parliament Jaj vic Nyntie thrie incaice of their faillie; and that the said Shirriffs and their deputs and Magistrats of burghs and privy Councillors abovementioned Report a Sufficient Certificat of the saids persones their Swearing and Subscrybeing to the Clerks of privy Councill betwixt and the first day of February3 therafter as they will be answerable on their perill; And in respect that their is no report yet made of any of the Saids ministers, preachers and others their haveing Sworne the forsaid alledgance and Subscrybed the Same with the assurance by vertue of aither of the two Last proclamationes for that effect, Therfore The Lords of her Majesties privy Councill, Ordaines them all to obtempor and obey this ordinance by Swearing and Subscrybeing as said is; Whither they have Sworne and Subscrybed otherwayes or not; before the emitting hereof; and under the forsaid Certification as above and Ordaines these presents to be printed and published at the marcat cross of Edinburgh and all other places needfull Sic Subscribitur.

Procedure: committee formed
The Lords of her Majesties privy Councill Doe hereby Nominat and appoint the Earle of Seafeild Lord Secrettary of State; The Earles of Lowdoun, Leven, Viscount of Tarbat and Lord President of Session To be a Committie to inspect the Records of parliament and other registers Lying in the Laigh parliament house anent the Union of the two kingdomes And Recommends to the said Committie to repair to morow morning at ten of the Cloak in the forenoon to the Laigh parliament house, And their inspect all the registers and records Lying their; That many any wayes relate to the Union betwixt the two kingdomes of Scotland and England And Ordaines the keepers of the said Laigh parliament house to attend their, and Give the saids Lords inspection of what records and registers they shall call for; And Ordaines the Clerks to give extracts of what the Committie please out of the saids Registers and records; And appoints Sir David Dalrymple her Majesties Solicitor to attend the Committee ther.

Letter from the Queens Majestie to the Councill anent the Lady Lovat Read and ordered to be Recorded The Lords of her Majesties privy Councill Doe hereby Recommend to Major Generall George Ramsay Commander in Chief of her Majesties forces within this kingdome To Send with his first Conveniencie Such a Regiment of the Forces to Innverness how soon they can be in readines to march; To be quartered ther, and to be detatched from place to place as need Shall requyre With power to them to apprehend take and Seaze John Fraser brother to Captain Simion Fraser of Beaufort and other persones associated with him; And delyver them prisoners to the nixt Magistrat That they may be brought to tryall; That the Lawes may be put to due execution against them.

Right trustie and right well beloved Cousin and Councillor Right trusty and intirely beloved Cousins and Councillors; Right trustie and well beloved Cousins and Councillors Right trustie and well beloved Councillors And trustie and well beloved Councillors, Wee greet yow well Wheras wee understand That John Fraser brother to Captain Simion Fraser of Bewfort and other persones associated with him have Committed Severall insolencies and disorders by Convocating our Leidges in A hostile manner and burning and pulling down houses belonging to the Lady Dowager of Lovat and her daughter; To the great contempt of our authority and disturbance of the publict peace, And wee Judging it for the honour of our Government and the queit of all our good subjects That the authors of Such disorders Should be brought to Condigne punishment; Doe therfore requyre yow to Cause apprehend and Seize the said John Fraser or any associated with him; and bring them to tryall That the Lawes may be put to due execution against them, And yow are to Imploy Such of our forces as yow Shall think necessary for Secureing the peace of those parts; And for preventing all furder trouble and molestation to the said Lady Dowager of Lovat or her daugher; For doeing wherof This shall be your warrant, And So wee bid yow heartily farewell Given at our Court at Windsor Castle the 25th day of August 1702 and of our Reign the first year; By her Majesties Command Sic Subscribitur Queensberry
