Warrand Giveing in to the Clerks Counsell the process for Murder againest William Irving and Committee

The Lords of there Magistrats privie Counsell doe hereby Recomend to Sir Archibald Mure of Thornetoun present proveist of Edinburgh That he cause the toun clerk of Edinburgh or the persone who wes clerk to the process persued befor the Magistrats of Edinburgh as shirreffs within themselves Againest William Irving for Murder of any other persone in whose hands the said process is, instantly to delyver in to the clerks of Counsell the said wholl process Lybell or Indytement probation verdict and sentence And Recomends to Sir Coline Campbell of Aberuchill and Sir John Lauder of Fountainhall tuo of the senators of the Colledge of Justice to revise and consider the said process and severall steps thereof and to report there opinione there in the Counsell

Warrant giving in to the clerks of council the process for murder against William Irving and Committee

The lords of their majesties’ privy council hereby recommend to Sir Archibald Muir of Thornton, present provost of Edinburgh, that he cause the town clerk of Edinburgh or the person who was clerk to the process pursued before the magistrates of Edinburgh as sheriffs within themselves against William Irving for murder or any other person in whose hands the said process is, instantly to deliver in to the clerks of council the said whole process, libel or indictment, probation, verdict and sentence, and recommend to Sir Colin Campbell of Aberuchil and Sir John Lauder of Fountainhall, two of the senators of the college of justice to revise and consider the said process and several steps thereof and to report their opinion there to the council.
