Warrand for takeing the Irons off John Tweedies Legs

The Lords of there Majesties privie Councill doe hereby give order and warrand to the Magistrates of Edinburgh and keeper of there tolbooth to cause take off the Irons from the leggs off John Tweedie prisoner in the said tolbooth And to suffer Irons to remaine upon his hands only And to allow the said John to make use of what food or provisiones for meat and drink he can procure to himself without restricting him to bread and water only as formerly

Warrant for taking the irons off John Tweedie’s legs

The lord of their majesties’ privy council hereby give order and warrant to the magistrates of Edinburgh and keeper of their tolbooth to take off the irons from the legs of John Tweedie, prisoner in the said tolbooth, and to suffer irons to remain upon his hands only, and to allow the said John to make use of what food or provision for meat and drink he can procure to himself without restricting him to bread and water only as formerly.
