Warrand for buryeing the Earle of Argylls chyld in the abbay church

The Lords of there Majestyes privie Councill being Informed that his Grace the Duke of Hamilton Scrouples to allow the buryeing of the Earle of Argylles chyld in the abbay church, In regard that church is declared to be the Kings Chaple And that his Grace is willing to Comply with the Councills pleasure in this matter when the same shall be signifyed to him The saids Lords of there Majestyes privie Councill doe hereby recomend to and authorize his Grace the Duke of Hamiltoun to allow the Earle of Argylles chyld to be buryed in the forsaid abbay church Notwithstanding the same be declared to be the Kings Chappell

Warrant for burying the earl of Argyll’s child in the abbey church

The lords of their majesties’ privy council being informed that his grace [William] duke of Hamilton scruples to allow the burying of [Archibald Campbell] earl of Argyll’s child in the abbey church, in regard that church is declared to be the king’s chapel and that his grace is willing to comply with the council’s pleasure in this matter when the same shall be signified to him. The said lords of their majesties’ privy council hereby recommend to and authorise his grace the duke of Hamilton to allow the earl of Argyll’s child to be buried in the foresaid abbey church notwithstanding the same be declared to be the king’s chapel.
