Warrand for Scot of Malleny to goe from Edinburgh to Kirklistoun prisone

The Lords of there Majestyes privie Councill being Informed that John Scott of Millenie presently prisoner in the tolbooth of Edinburgh not takeing the oath of alleadgeance and assureance is a persone of great age and his health Indangered by the unwhollsomenes of that prisone They hereby allow the said John Scott to transport himself from the tolbooth of Edinburgh to the tolbooth of Kirklistoun And gives order and warrand to the Magistrats of Edinburgh and keeper of there tolbooth To Sett at Libertie the said John Scott furth of the samen And to the magistrats of Kirklistoun and keeper of there tolbooth To receave and detaine the said John prisoner till till2 a further order of Councill In respect the Lord Hattoun hes engadged in presence of the Councill That the said John Scott shall enter himself prisoner within the said tolbooth of Kirklistoune once on Saturnday next.

Warrant for Scot of Malleny to go from Edinburgh to Kirkliston prison

The lords of their majesties’ privy council being informed that John Scott of Malleny, presently prisoner in the tolbooth of Edinburgh [for] not taking the oath of allegiance and assurance is a person of great age and his health endangered by the unwholesomeness of that prison, they hereby allow the said John Scott to transport himself from the tolbooth of Edinburgh to the tolbooth of Kirkliston, and gives order and warrant to the magistrates of Edinburgh and keeper of their tolbooth to sett at liberty the said John Scott forth of the same, and to the magistrates of Kirkliston and keeper of their tolbooth to receive and detain the said John prisoner till a further order of council, in respect [Sir John Lauder] the Lord Hatton has engaged in presence of the council that the said John Scott shall enter himself prisoner within the said tolbooth of Kirkliston once on Saturday next.
