Warrand to Henrie Douglas to give up the privie Seall to the Earle of Melvill

The Lords of the majestyes privie Councill Considering that George Earle of Melvill is by there majestyes appointed Lord privie Seall and his gift to the said office passed the great seall and read in Councill and Least Henrie Douglas In whose hand the privie seall is be vertue of a Commissione from the Lords and Comissioners for that office should make any scrouple to delyver up the privie seall to the said Earle of Melvill without a warrand of Councill In respect the Lords Commissioners from whom he hes the same are not upon the place Therefore the saids Lords of there majestyes privie Councill doe hereby Give order and warrand to the said Henrie Douglas to give up and the privie seall to the said George Earle of Melvill

Warrant to Henry Douglas to give up the privy seal to the [George] earl of Melville

The lords of their majesties’ privy council considering that George, earl of Melville is by their majesties appointed Lord Privy Seal and his gift to the said office passed the great seal and read in council and least Henry Douglas in whose hand the privy seal is by vertue of a commissione from the lords and commissioners for that office should make any scrouple to deliver up the privy seal to the said earl of Melville without a warrant of council in respect the lords commissioners, from whom he has the same are not upon the place, therefore the said lords of their majesties’ privy council do hereby give order and warrant to the said Henry Douglas to give up the privy seal to the said George, earl of Melville
