Warrand for delyvering tuo prisoners in Edinburgh tolbooth to the Earl of Leven

The Lords of there Majestyes privie Councill doe hereby give order and warrand to the Magistrates of Edinburgh and keeper of there tolbooth to delyver to the Earle of Leven Andrew Mcapine and John McLaughlane presently prisoners in the said tolbooth for alleadged thift or robbery to be carryed abroad by his Lordship to be a souldier in his regiment in there majestyes service in Flanders2 In respect the saids Andrew Mcapine and John McLaughlane have enacted themselves in the books of privie Councill not to returne within there majesties Dominiones under the pain of death and recomends to the said Earle of Leven to cause transport them to Holland with the fleet presently Lyeing in the road of Leith

Warrant for delivering two prisoners in Edinburgh tolbooth to [David Leslie] earl of Leven

The lords of their majesties’ privy council do hereby give order and warrant to the magistrates of Edinburgh and keeper of their tolbooth to deliver to the Earl of Leven Andrew Mcapine2 and John McLaughlin, presently prisoners in the said tolbooth for alleged theft or robbery, to be carried abroad by his lordship to be soldiers in his regiment in their majesties’ service in Flanders, in respect the said Andrew Mcapine and John McLaughlin have enacted themselves in the books of privy council not to return within their majesties’ dominione under the pain of death and recommends to the said earl of Leven to cause transport them to Holland with the fleet presently lying in the road of Leith.
