Act Confyneing John Abercrombie a preist

Sir Robert Forbes haveing represented to the Board that John Abercrombie a suspect preist who was bound to present himselfe to the Councell this day, was come to this place, but by reasone of his Indisposition attested by two Phisitians upon Soill and conscience produced)2 Could not attend, The Saids Lords of her Majesties Privie Councell Confynes the said John Abercrombie to his lodgings in Edinburgh till farder orders, And appoynts him to give bond, and find Sufficient Caution acted in the books of Privie Councell that he Shall appear befor ther lordships when called for, And in the mean tyme that he Shall live peaceably wnder and with all Submission to ther Majesties Government, And Shall not act, consult, nor contryve any thing to the prejudice therof, nor converse nor corresponde with any of her Majesties rebells wnder the penaltie of ane thousand merks Scots money In case he transgress any pairt of the premisses, And upon his granting of the said bond, allowes his former bond to be given up.

Act confining John Abercrombie a priest

Sir Robert Forbes, having represented to the board that John Abercrombie, a suspected priest who was bound to present himself to the council this day, was come to this place, but by reason of his indisposition attested by two physicians upon soul and conscience produced could not attend, the said lords of her majesty’s privy council confine the said John Abercrombie to his lodgings in Edinburgh till further orders, and appoint him to give bond and find sufficient caution acted in the books of privy council that he shall appear before their lordships when called for, and in the meantime that he shall live peaceably under and with all submission to her majesty’s government, and shall not act, consult, nor contrive anything to the prejudice thereof, nor converse nor correspond with any of her majesty’s rebels under the penalty of 1,000 merks Scots money in case he transgress any part of the premisses. And upon his granting of the said bond, allows his former bond to be given up.
