Recommendation to the Lord Chancellor to lay befoir the parliament the tumult at Drumfreise

James Earle of Seafeild Lord high Chancellor haveing represented to the Board that besyde the Rable that happened at Glasgow ther has since been severall tumultuary Convocations of people in armes about Dumfreise and other places within the Kingdome who have committed severall disorders and threatned further violence, His Grace her Majesties high Commissioner, and the Lords of privie Councell doe unanimously aggree that ane account therof be laid before the parliament, and recommends to the Lord Chancellor to doe it accordingly In such termes as his lordship shall think fitt.

Recommendation to the lord chancellor to lay before the parliament the tumult at Dumfries

James [Ogilvie] earl of Seafield, lord high chancellor, having represented to the board that besides the rabble that happened at Glasgow, there has since been several tumultuary gathering of people in arms about Dumfries and other places within the kingdom, who have committed several disorders and threatened further violence. His grace [James Douglas, duke of Queensberry] her majesty’s high commissioner and the lords of privy council do unanimously agree that an account thereof be laid before the parliament, and recommend to the lord chancellor to do it accordingly in such terms as his lordship shall think fit.
