Procedure

[Rankeillor and Tillicultrie take the oath of allegience]

The Lords Rankeillor and Tillicultrie qualified themselves to her Majestie as privie Councellors by Swearing the oath of alleadgance and Subscribeing the Same with the assureance, And therafter the Lord President for the tyme did tender to them the oath de fideli, and ther lordships took ther places at the Board accordingly.

[Sir Archibald Hope] Lord Rankeillor and [Robert Stewart] Lord Tillicoultry qualified themselves to her majesty as privy councillors by swearing the oath of allegiance and subscribing the same with the assurance, and thereafter [David Erskine, earl of Buchan] the lord president for the time did tender to them the oath de fideli, and their lordships took their places at the board accordingly.
