Letter from the Queens Majestie to the Councell for adjurneing the parliament to the third day of october nixt to come; Being read, The Same was ordered to be recorded, And a proclamation in the termes therof being prepared, The Samen was read, Signed, ordered to be recorded printed and published, wherof the tenors follow

Right trustie and right well beloved Cousine and Councellor, Right trustie and intirely beloved Cousins and Councellors, Right trustie and well beloved Cousins and Councellors, Right trustie and well beloved Councellors, and trustie and well beloved Councellors, Wee greet yow well, Wheras by our Letter to yow of the twelfth day of August instant, Wee did order the Adjurnement of our Current parliament till the nynteinth day of September insueing, and we firmely resolved it Should meet on the said day: But the multiplicite of Important affairs haveing hindered ws hitherto from dispatching our Commissioner; wherby it is yet2 necessary that our said parliament Should be yet further adjurned for a Short tyme; It is therfor our will and pleasure, and wee doe heirby authorise and requyre yow, To issue forth a proclamation adjurneing out said Current parliament from the said nynteinth day of September nixt to the third day of october nixt And ordering all the members therof to attend that day att Edinburgh in the usuall way and upon the accustomed certifications, For doeing wherof this shall be your warrant; And so wee bid yow heartily farwell. Given att our Court att Windsor Castle the twentie Sevinth day of August Jaj vijc and Six, And of our reigne the fyfth year By her Majesties Command Sic Subscribitur David Nairne.

Letter from the queen’s majesty to the council for adjourning the parliament to 3 October next to come being read, the Same was ordered to be recorded, and a proclamation in the terms thereof being prepared, the same was read, signed, [and] ordered to be recorded, printed, and published, whereof the tenors follow:

Right trusty and right well beloved cousin and councillor, right trusty and entirely beloved cousins and councillors, right trusty and well beloved cousins and councillors, right trusty and well beloved councillors, and trusty and well beloved councillors, we greet you well. Whereas by our letter to you of 12 August instant, we did order the adjournment of our current parliament till 19 September ensuing, and we firmly resolved it should meet on the said day, but the multiplicity of important affairs having hindered us hitherto from dispatching our commissioner, whereby it is necessary that our said parliament should be yet further adjourned for a short time, it is therefore our will and pleasure, and we do hereby authorise and require you, to issue forth a proclamation adjourning out said current parliament from the said 19 September next to 3 October next, and ordering all the members thereof to attend that day at Edinburgh in the usual way and upon the accustomed certifications. For doing whereof this shall be your warrant. And so we bid you heartily farewell. Given at our court at Windsor Castle 27 August 1706, and of our reign the fifth year. By her majesty’s command Sic Subscribitur David Nairne.
