Letter from the Queens Majestie to the Councill for adjurneing the parliament to the Twentieth of June nixt Read and ordered to be recorded. the tenor quherof follows

Right trustie and right well beloved Cousine and Councellor, Right trusty and intirely beloved Cousines and Councellors, Right trustie and well beloved Cousins and Councellors, Right trusty and well beloved Councellors, and trustie and well beloved Councellors, Wee Greet yow well; Wheras the present State of our affairs, Does not yet requyre the meeting of our parliament so soon as the nynth day of May nixt to which it was last adjurned It is therfor our will and pleasure, And wee doe heirby authorise and requyre yow To issue furth a proclamation in our name, Ordering the continuance of the forsaid adjurnement of our parliament from the said nynth day of May nixt To the Twentieth day of June nixt following, And ordering all the members therof to attend that day at Edinburgh in the usuall way, and upon the certifications accustomed, For doeing wherof this shall be your warrant; And so wee bid yow heartily farwell: Given at our Court at Kensingtoun the twentie Sevinth day of Apryll Jaj vijc and Six, and of our Reigne the fyfth year. By her Majesties Command Loudoun.

Letter from the queen’s majesty to the council for adjourning the parliament to 20 June next read and ordered to be recorded, the tenor whereof follows:

Right trusty and right well beloved cousin and councillor, right trusty and entirely beloved cousins and councillors, right trusty and well beloved cousins and councillors, right trusty and well beloved councillors, and trusty and well beloved councillors, we greet you well. Whereas the present state of our affairs does not yet require the meeting of our parliament so soon as 9 May next to which it was last adjourned, it is therefor our will and pleasure, and we do hereby authorise and require you to issue forth a proclamation in our name, ordering the continuance of the foresaid adjournment of our parliament from the said 9 May next to 20 June next following, and ordering all the members thereof to attend that day at Edinburgh in the usual way, and upon the certifications accustomed. For doing whereof this shall be your warrant. And so we bid you heartily farewell. Given at our court at Kensington 27 April 1706, and of our reign the fifth year. By her majesty’s command Loudoun.
