Order for transporting Margaret Brown and others to the Correction house of Edinburgh

The Lords of her Majesties privie Councell Doe heirby appoynt and ordaine the Shirreff of Teviotdale and his deputs, to cause transport the persons of Margaret Brown, Agnes Ogilvie, and Elizabeth Baillie, idle Masterfull Beggars, vagabounds, and Egyptians, from the Tollbooth of Jedburgh to the Correction house of Edinburgh, And appoynts the Magistrats of Edinburgh, and keepers of ther said Correction house to receive them prisoners accordingly, And ther to detaine them till a convenient occasion offeir to transport them to the plantations In the termes of the Sentence pronounced against them befor the Shireff of Teviotdale, which Sentence the saids Lords have approven, and heirby approve off, And Interpons ther decreit and Authoritie therto in all poynts, And appoynts the halfe of the partie formerly Sent to Hawick by order of Councell to continue their till further orders.

The lords of her majesty’s privy council do hereby appoint and ordain the sheriff of Teviotdale [Roxburghshire] and his deputes to cause transport the persons of Margaret Brown, Agnes Ogilvie, and Elizabeth Baillie, idle masterful beggars, vagabonds, and Egyptians, from the tolbooth of Jedburgh to the correction house of Edinburgh, and appoint the magistrates of Edinburgh and keepers of their said correction house to receive them prisoners accordingly, and there to detain them till a convenient occasion arises to transport them to the plantations in the terms of the sentence pronounced against them before the sheriff of Teviotdale, which sentence the said lords have approved, and hereby approve of, and interpose their decreet and authority thereto in all points, and appoint the half of the party formerly sent to Hawick by order of council to continue there till further orders.
