Warrand for liberating the Ostend prisoners

The Earle of Cromartie haveing represented to the Lords of her Majesties Privie Councell That in december last ther was Seased and taken by the Admirall deput within the bounds of Caithness, a Livetennant and Twentie fyve prisoners belonging to ane Ostend Privateer, and that the Samen are Still in custody ther, And the Saids Lords haveing considered the Samen, They doe heirby give order and warrand to the Earle of Cromartie as Admirall deput within the bounds forsaid To Sett the foirnamed persons at liberty furth of the prisone wher they may be at present, with full freedome and liberty to them to returne to ther respective aboads without trouble or molestation, And discharges all persons whatsomever with this kingdome to Stope or hinder them in ther voyage thither; And allowes the Admirall deput to give them particular passes bearing ther names and designations.

[George Mackenzie] the earl of Cromartie having represented to the lords of her majesty’s privy council that in December last there was seized and taken by the admiral depute within the bounds of Caithness a lieutenant and twenty-five prisoners belonging to an Ostend privateer, and that the same are still in custody there, and the said lords having considered the same, they do hereby give order and warrant to the earl of Cromartie as admiral depute within the bounds foresaid to set the forenamed persons at liberty forth of the prison where they may be at present, with full freedom and liberty to them to return to their respective abodes without trouble or molestation, and discharge all persons whatsoever with this kingdom to stop or hinder them in their voyage thither. And allow the admiral depute to give them particular passes bearing their names and designations.
