Pass In favours of Sir John Law

Sir James Stewart her Majesties advocat haveing represented to the Board that Mr John Law had necessary bussieness in France, wher a great many of his effects wer, And wer in hazard of perishing if he went not ther himselfe, and that he could not safely goe without ther lordships allowance, The Lords of her Majesties privie Councell Doe heirby permitt and allow the said Mr John Law to pass from this kingdome to the citie of Paris in France or any other place within the said Kingdome, wher his effects are, And to returne again to this kingdome, without trouble or molestation, Notwithstanding of the proclamation of warr, The said Mr John Law alewayes finding Sufficient Caution acted in the Books of privie Councell for his good behaviour, and observance of the act of parliament Jaj vic nynty eight anent persons goeing to France.

Sir James Stewart, her majesty’s advocate, having represented to the board that Mr John Law had necessary business in France, where a great many of his effects were, and were in hazard of perishing if he went not there himself, and that he could not safely go without their lordships’ allowance, the lords of her majesty’s privy council do hereby permit and allow the said Mr John Law to pass from this kingdom to the city of Paris in France, or any other place within the said kingdom, where his effects are, and to return again to this kingdom, without trouble or molestation, notwithstanding of the proclamation of war, the said Mr John Law always finding sufficient caution acted in the books of privy council for his good behaviour and observance of the act of parliament [of] 1698 concerning persons going to France.
