Recommendation to Lord Advocat anent Haynes

His Grace her Majesties high Commissioner, and Lords of her Majesties privie Councell Doe heirby Recommend to Sir James Steuart her majesties Advocat to reduce into wryting the confession of Haynes one of Greens Crew in relation to money or Gold offerred to him to be ane evidence in the tryall against Green and his Crew and to report the Samen to the Councill.

His grace [John Campbell, duke of Argyll] her majesty’s high commissioner, and lords of her majesty’s privy council do hereby recommend to Sir James Stewart, her majesty’s advocate, to reduce into writing the confession of [George] Haynes, one of [Thomas] Green’s crew, in relation to money or gold offered to him to be an evidence in the trial against Green and his crew, and to report the same to the council.
