Proclamation for adjourning the parliament

Anne by the Grace of God Queen of Great Brittaine, France and Irland defender of the faith To our Lyon King at armes and his Brethren Heraulds, Meacers of our privie Councill, purservants, messengers at armes, our Shirreffs in that pairt Conjunctllie and Severallie Speciallie constitut Greeting Forasmuch as wee find that the parliament of this our antient kingdome cannot conveniently meet wpon the twentie fourth day of May instant to which it stands adjurned, So that a further adjurnement for a Short tyme is necessary for our affairs; wee are therfor resolved to continue the said adjurnement to the fourteenth day of June nixt to to2 come without further delay for the good ends for which wee have called it; Therfor and that the members of our said Parliament be not putt to the trouble and charges of meeting wpon the said twentie fourth day of May instant, Wee with advyse of the Lords of our privie Councill have adjurned, and heirby Adjurne our said Current parliament from the said twentie fourth day of May instant To the said fourteinth day of June nixt to come; Requyreing heirby all the members therof to attend the said day at Edinburgh peremptorly in the usuall way and wnder the accustomed certifications by law appoynted, Our Will is Heirfore and wee charge yow Strictly and Command that in continent thir our Letters seen ye pass to the mercat cross of Edinburgh, and to the mercat crosses of the haill remanent head burghs of the severall Shyrs and Stewartries within this our antient kingdome, And ther in our name and authority by open proclamation Make publict Intimation that our said parliament is adjurned to the said fourteenth day of June nixt to come, And ordains these presents to be printed and published; Given wnder our Signet att Holyrudehouse the fyfteinth day of May, And of our reigne the fourth year 1705.
