Procedure

Earl of Stair qualified as as2 Privie Councellor

The Earle of Stair being present in Counsell did qualifie himselfe to her Majestie by Swearing the oath of alleadgance, and Subscribeing the Same with the Assureance as ane privie Counsellor, And the Lord Chancellor did tender to him the oath de fideli And his lordship took his place at the board accordingly.
