Warrand and Recommendation to Generall Ramsay to send a partie for the French prisoners

His Grace her Majesties high Commissioner, and Lords of her Majesties privie Councell Doe heirby Recommend to Livt Generall George Ramsay Commander in cheife of her Majesties forces within this kingdome, To send a pairtie of her Majesties forces duly Commanded, To Glasgow at and against the tenth day of August instant, To receive from the Magistrats therof the persons of the Crew of the French privateer lately taken by Captain Matthew Campbell, and to conduct them and ilk ane of them safely to the Tollbooths of Cannogat and Leith, and to delyver them to the Magistrats therof, who are ordered to receive them off ther hand.

His grace [John Campbell, duke of Argyll] her majesty’s high commissioner and lords of her majesty’s privy council do hereby recommend to Lieutenant General George Ramsay, commander-in-chief of her majesty’s forces within this kingdom, to send a party of her majesty’s forces duly commanded to Glasgow at and against 10 August instant, to receive from the magistrates thereof the persons of the crew of the French privateer lately taken by Captain Matthew Campbell, and to conduct them and each one of them safely to the tolbooths of Canongate and Leith, and to deliver them to the magistrates thereof, who are ordered to receive them of their hand.
