Warrand to James Clark To cutt Matresses punctions and dyes for Coyning Ten and fyve shilling peices

The Lords of Her Majesties Privie Councill Doe heirby Appoint and Ordain James Clark Ingraver in the Mint To Cutt and make Matresses, punsions and dyes for the heads and Reverses in Coyning in Ten shilling and five shilling peices with the Letters from their Inscriptions. And Recommends to the Earle of Lauderdale To cause pay the said James Clark for the samen out of the first and readiest of the excress of the fabrick money of the Mint.

Warrant to James Clark to cut matrices, punches, and dyes for coining ten and five shilling pieces

The lords of her majesty’s privy council do hereby appoint and ordain James Clark, engraver in the mint, to cut and make matrices, punches, and dyes for the heads and reverses in coinage in ten shilling and five shilling pieces, with the letters from their inscriptions. And recommends to [John Maitland] earl of Lauderdale to cause pay the said James Clark for the same out of the first and readiest of the excess of the fabric money of the mint.
