Act The Earle of Dalhoussie

Anent the petition given in to the Lords of her Majesties privy Councill be William Earle of Dalhoussie Shewing That wher her Majestie haveing granted to the petitioner ane warrand for ane Commissio nto be Shirriff principall of the Shirrifdome of Edinburgh dated the twentie fourth day of February Last In which the Secretaries servants have Ommitted to insert the Clause ordaineing the Same to pass the great Seall per Saltum Upon which accompt the director of the Chancelory Scrouples to extend the said Commission without the saids Lords warrand for that effect, And Seing the saids Lords were in use to interpose their authority in the Like cases And Therfore humbly Supplicating the Saids Lords to the effect aftermentioned The Lords of her Majesties privy Councill haveing Considered the above petition given in to them by William Earle of Dalhousie; And the samen being read in their presence The saids Lords Doe hereby Ordaine the Commission In favors of the petitioner to be Shirreff principall of the Shirrifdome of Edinburgh dated the twenty fourth day of February Last to pass the great seall per Saltum and Grants warrand to the director of her Majesties Chancelary and his deputes for wryting out the Samen And to the Lord high Chancelor and the keeper of the great Seall under his Lordship for appending the Samen therto without passing any other register or seall.
