Order for publishing her Majesties Gracious Indemnity

The Lords of her Majesties privy Councill haveing heard her Majesties proclamation for a gracious generall indemnity Read in their presence; The saids Lords of her Majesties privy Councill Ordaines the Same to be presently printed and published at the Cross of Edinburgh And Ordaines the Magistrates of Edinburgh to be present at the Cross in their robbs dureing the publication therof and to cause the bells to be Rung from four of the Cloak in the afternoon and Illuminations to be in the evening in the ordinary manner; And Recommends to the Governour of the Castle of Edinburgh; and in his absence appoints the nixt Commanding officer under him to cause fire the Guns from the Castle the time of the proclamation and when the bells begin to Ring and at the evening when the Illuminationes are put out; And the saids Lords Likewayes Ordaine the forsaid Gracious indemnity to be published at the whole Marcat Crosses of the head burghs of the Shyres of this kingdome; and other places needfull by the Severall Shirriffs of the Respective Shyres and others concerned.
