Proclamatione Adjourning the Parliament2

Proclamation for Adjourning the parliament was Read voted approven and Signed. Wherof the tenor Followes.
Anne by the Grace of God Queen of Great Brittain France and Ireland defender of the faith To our Lyon King at Armes; his bretheren heraulds; Macers of our privy Councill; pursevants messingers at armes; our shirriffs in that part Conjunctllie and Severally Specially Constitute Greetting Forasmuchas the great affection Wee have to our people; and our gracious inclynation and resolution of reclaimeing these who have transgressed or faillied in their dutie and alledgance to Us Raither by favors and obligationes then by punishments and Severity; and the Satisfaction wee propose to our self and out Subjects; by their Liveing in due obedience to us, and in Christian Love and kydnes with one another, Being also desireous to remove any uneasiness which may arise to our said subjects either from a Conviction of their oun Guilt or from fear of the execution of the Lawes of this our antient kingdome Wee have transmitted to our privy Councill a full and ample act of Grace pardon and indemnity for all the bygone Crymes of our said subjects such only excepted as ought at no time to be adventured upon much Less incouradged by hopes of pardon wherof wee hope few of our Subjects are guilty Which act of our Royall Grace and goodnes; Wee have Commanded furthwith to be published by our privy Councill in the accustomed and most Solemne manner to the end that all may know our Royall intention And that these who reap the benefit of it; may be the more engadged to Live in time comeing dutiefully towards us and in Amity with their fellow Subjects, and Seing wee find the parliament of this our ancient Kingdome Cannot Conveniently meett upon the Sixth day of Aprill nixt to which it was adjourned; And that a furder adjournment for a short time is necessary for our affairs. Therfore Wee with advice of our privy Councill have adjourned and hereby Adjournes the meetting of our said parliament from the said sixth day of Aprile to the Sixth day of May nixt3 therafter And wee being firmly resolved that our said parliament shall meett on the said sixth day of May nixt without farder delay for the good ends for which wee have Called it Doe Therfore with advice forsaid hereby Command and Charge all Noblemen officers of state and Commissioners of Shyres and burghes to attend the Meetting of our said parliament at Edinburgh the said sixth day of May nixt to come To which it is now adjourned in the usuall way and upon the accustumed Certificationes and under the paines Contained in our Lawes made theranent Our Will is Heirfore and wee Charge yow Strictly and Command that incontinent thir our Letters Seen yee pass and to the marcat Cross of Edniburgh4 and to the marcat Crosses of the remanent head burghes of the seaverall shyres and Stewartries within this our ancient kingdome and therat in our name and authority make publict intimation That our said parliament is adjourned to the said sixth day of May nixt to come, And Ordaines these presents to be printed and published.
