Liberation of the Laird of Kinfaans

Anent the petition given into the Lords of his Majesties privie Councell By Alexander Blair alias Carnegie of Kinfaines Sheuing That their Lordships were Justly pleased to Committ the petitioner to the Castle of Edinburgh upon the […] day of November Last For his misbehaviour in their Lordships presence wher he hath Continoued ever since And seing it uas only the effect of his want of experience and of the Knouledge of the respect due to their Lordships which he hopes uill be pardoned In respect of his age and Confusion at that tyme And being now to Choise his Curators on teusday nixt so that it is in some sort necessar That the petitioner Should have Libertie And therfore Humblie Craving to the effect underwryten as the said petition bears The saids Lords of his Majesties privie Councell Having Considered this petition given in to them by the said Alexander Blair alias Carnegie They doe heirby Recommend to the Earle of Leven Constable and Governour of the Castle of Edinburgh And In his absence Gives order and uarrand to the nixt Commanding officer ther To sett the petitioner at Libertie furth therof For which this shall be to all Concerned a sufficient warrand.
