Commission to Colonell Row and some of The Lord Carmichaells troops to march against Colonell Douglasses souldiers and force them to Lay doune their armes

Forasmuchas The Commone Souldiers of the regiment under Command of Sir William Doulgas being ordered to be disbanded upon fryday the tenth Instant Conforme to his Majesties Letter theranent Have Continoued in armes and refused to be disbanded and Lay doun their armes In manifest Contempt of his Majesties Commands and the orders of his privie Councell direct to them therupon Therfore The Lords of his Majesties privie Councell Doe heirby Recommend to and Impouer and authorize John Lord Carmichaell Commander in Cheiff of his Majesties forces within this Kingdome for the tyme Immediately to Command the Regiment under the Command of Colonell Archbald Row with tuo troopes of Dragoons of the regiment Commanded by the said Lord Carmichaell To March to the toune of Stirling and to Compell by force of armes the saids Commone souldiers of Sir William Douglasses regiment to disband and Lay doun their armes And to attacque them by all manner of force for that effect And In case any blood death or Mutilation follou in the execution of the premisses The said Colonell Row and the haill officers and souldiers of the said regiment of foot and troops of dragoons under his Command are fullie Indemnified and exonered therof And it is heirby declared that the same shall be reckoned as good service done to the Government sic subscribitur Marchmont cancelar Tueeddale Strathmore Lauderdale Loudoun Annandale Ruglen Tarbat Raith Adam Cockburne Archibald Mure.
